Laura Owens is releasing a book collection of her art from the past decades and is in need for a book cover, spreads, and an iPad compatible application to emulate the experience of her art.
Laura Owens is a mixed-media artist who is known for her nostalgia evoking pieces and crazy large canvases. She is based in LA but has studied in both Rhode Island and Chicago. What makes her stand out in the competitive art world is her exhibitions. It is one thing to great an aesthetically pleasing piece but Owens is capable of grouping together her work and arranging it in a setting with such ease and cohesiveness.

I chose to imitate the effect of one of her most popular exhibition pieces from the 2010 decade, Untitled, 2015. It consists of 5 panels that read out a sentence that can only be read in a cohesive manner from one angle in the room. This is why I decided to follow that concept by applying it to three books in which the covers can only be read from a specific angle
